Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, put to the music from Requiem For A Dream. A good example of how important editing and sound track are to the meaning of what you see. Probably not a bad parallel to your average movie trailer, or the evening news for that matter (think of CNN’s ultra tense back from commercial/going to commercial music for example).
As a side note, if you haven’t seen Requiem For A Dream, see it, but be prepared to be depressed for a couple of days, or maybe a week or two. It’s a great movie, and extremely well done, but ultra-mega-super depressing. If just the sound track from it can do this to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in 4 minutes, imagine what 1 hour and 42 minutes of content that is meant to fit with the sound track can do.
